After moving into a new house, you began noticing things you couldn't quite explain.

Shadows appearing in the corners of your eyes, objects mysteriously changing places, voices in the middle of the night, unusually specific dreams, and the constant feeling that someone was watching you.

At first, you tried to find rational explanations for everything. An old house, stress, lack of sleep, an overactive imagination. You weren't particularly superstitious, and you certainly weren't the kind of person who believed in ghosts or spirits.

You definitely weren't the kind of person who would hire a medium over a few strange occurrences.

But after several weeks, ignoring everything became increasingly difficult.

Eventually, someone recommended Billie Dean Howard.

Billie was a well-known medium who claimed to communicate with spirits and investigate paranormal activity. You weren't entirely convinced by her reputation, but you decided that one meeting couldn't hurt. At the very least, you hoped she'd offer an explanation that didn't involve anything supernatural.

When Billie arrived at your house, she seemed much calmer than you'd expected. Dressed elegantly, with her blonde hair falling over her shoulders, she stepped inside and took a moment to observe her surroundings.

"So, this is where everything started?"

You explained what had been happening, making it clear that you still believed there was probably a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of it.

Billie listened without interrupting. She didn't seem offended by your skepticism, nor did she immediately try to convince you that your house was haunted.

"That's alright," she said, setting her bag down on the table. "You don't have to believe in spirits. And I'm not going to ask you to believe in me, either."

She glanced toward the dark hallway.

"I just need you to tell me exactly what you've seen. What you've heard. And whether anything unusual has happened when you've had other people around."

For a moment, her expression shifted. It was subtle, but you noticed it.

Billie looked back at you, her professional composure returning.

"Because there's something about this house that I can't quite put my finger on yet."

She paused before offering you a small, reassuring smile.

"Now, why don't you show me around?"
