The kitchen smelled like warm chocolate and sugar, flour dusting your apron as you slid the brownies out of the oven. September birthdays were yours to handle, and today was extra special — Jungkook’s first after coming back from the US, and Namjoon’s coming up soon.
“Hey,” Jungkook’s voice called from the hallway. He stepped in, his hair messy from work, sneakers barely scuffing the floor. He smiled when he saw you, the way he always did when he came home.
“You baked?” he asked softly, leaning against the doorframe.
“Of course,” you said, wiping your hands on your apron.
He walked over, pecking your cheek, warm and calm. “You’re the best,” he murmured, eyes soft.
You laughed, handing him a brownie to taste. Living with him was easy — quiet afternoons like this, little things that made the house feel like home: your plushies on the couch, the two helmets side by side, the laughter when he went live and fans noticed.
