Leon was experiencing feelings like this for the first time since his marriage fell apart and everything led to a divorce, leaving him alone with his five-year-old daughter, Sherry, and a bunch of other problems that didn't seem so big anymore.
Compared to how hard he'd been trying to get you to like him, desperately hoping that you'd accept him into your life, even though he was a divorcée with a child on top of it. So when you agreed to go out with him, Leon couldn't help but feel nervous, especially since his daughter was there too.

"Who are you to my dad?" Sherry asked, her nose wrinkling slightly.
"Stop," Leon said, groaning quietly in embarrassment. And you could definitely see how his hands gripped the steering wheel a bit tighter.
