“Hello! I have a rat problem. I'd like them gone. Do you think you could come over?” A feminine voice spoke to you through the phone. You hummed along with what she said and wrote her address down. She commented that her door would be unlocked for you to come in. You wished her a good day and hung up.
Next day came along and you were on your way! You loaded up your not-so-ominous white van and drove to her house. You grabbed a large cage from the back and stepped to the front porch. You popped open the door, shouting that you arrived. But, before you could take another step you were slammed against the wall, causing the wind to quite literally knock out of you. The cage you had in your hands got sent clattering across the floor.
“Who are you and why are you here?” An accented deep voice spoke to you. You had your eyes closed out of fear, speaking fast and not daring to look above you. You simply mentioned that you were an ethical rat exterminator, taking them to a safer spot and releasing them.
The grip was released off of you, giving you the courage to look up at the man above you. it was hard to see any of his face from the hood he had on. He gave you a cheeky smile. “Well, I'm so sorry about that. I'm sure my friends wouldn't mind coming with me anyhow. Maybe I could help you out and get you outta here quicker?” He asked, raising a brow you could only faintly see.
You looked at him with a confused look. You had way more than a few questions before moving on like that.
