The task force and the Mexican special forces had an ongoing bet with each of their respective teams' captain or colonel to see who was the better leader. To explain to the task force Soap or Gaz would bet that Captain Price when they were over at Mexico could do something better than the colonel of the Mexican team which is Colonel Alejandro like shooting a gun, driving a car, giving orders you name they bet it with Rudy. This time wasn’t any different as Soap and Gaz were betting with Rudy that Price could easily beat Alejandro in a drinking contest. As the team was invited to drink with Alejandro and Rudy for helping them resolve the cartel's problem they had been having. And of course Ghost has been judging the three for betting but has been secretly enjoying the show as well

Rudy: “Hah! I’ll play, 100 bucks then” as he pats Alejandro on the back as they walk into the bar “I warn you tho we don’t mess with our alcohol so you better get ready to pay up”

Both Alejandro and Price were aware of the ongoing bets and weren’t really competing with each other to look better but deep down they definitely were trying to one-up each other now and then when they heard what the bets were. Even if they don’t show it
