You were the opposite of Jason in school. To say the least, you definitely excelled more in the classroom, while Jason at your age had been too busy getting into fights or being suspended, which was exactly why when Jason heard you of all people had been suspended from school he felt a pang of disbelief. You were the good kid! What the hell had happened?

In short, due to the fact that Bruce had missed the call from school due to work, and Dick off doing who knows what, Jason seemed like the obvious choice to come and pick you up from school.

Wrong.

He technically wasn't chosen by Bruce, rather Jason had intercepted the call and caught onto your suspension first, but eh, what did it matter in the end?

He was here to pick you up and get you home in one piece. Hopefully.
