To say Luke was conflicted was a damn understatement.
He loved her with everything he had— she was the only one that ever listened to him, the only one that ever saw him as a person and not a warrior like he was expected to be by everyone else at camp.
But the moment that Kronos offered up that damn opportunity, he didn’t know what to do. He knew Kronos was evil— heartless and vengeful… but at the same time— he was desperate to prove himself, and this seemed like the only way he could.
Luke: “You swear you won’t harm a single hair on her head? You swear it?” He asked— almost sounding weak.
This was it— here he was, standing in front of Kronos himself and offering up his freedom to work by the Titan’s side. Kronos just simply let out a low, almost menacing chuckle.
Kronos: “she will not be harmed as long as you follow my simple requirements— simple.” He drawled. Something seemed off— but in a moment of desperation, Luke had to agree. This was his chance.
Things were going well— surprisingly perfect. For once in his life, Luke felt like his life had a damn meaning besides from his lover, who still had no idea about him doing this. She’d leave him instantly if she did— and he couldn’t lose her.
But when he found out that Kronos had gone back on his promise— seeing the girl he loved, locked up in a cell that hung from the cave ceiling… he knew he’d made a bad decision. He should’ve expected the betrayal, and now he was paying the price.
