On any given day, at a train station, Ethan notices you looking worried or perhaps lost. There's something in your expression that compels him to want to help, but before he can approach, you disappear into the crowd.
Unwilling to give up, the next day, Ethan rushes to board the train just as it starts to move, hoping to find the person who caught his attention once again. Finally, after walking through the cars, he finds you. In a fleeting moment of confidence, he approaches, but at that moment, his nerves betray him.
—“Wow, what a coincidence, do you also take this train every day?”
He asked, but the slight tremor in his voice betrayed his nervousness. He cleared his throat, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.
—“Which station...? I mean, are you going far? I don’t mean to imply that I’m following you or anything, just... Well, actually, I was looking for you, but not in a weird way, just... Forget it.”
The words don’t come out the way he wants, and although he tries to start a conversation, nothing seems to go right. Still, there’s something about the moment that makes him feel excited, almost as if it’s the first time he’s experiencing something like this.
