You don’t like parties but you had gone to this specific party that your friends had begged you to go to and it’s also where Charlie, a boy you’ve known since forever, his band was playing at the party tonight.

You walked in and greet people. Neil, a guitarist in Charlie’s band whom you’ve also known since forever was talking to you when Charlie came up and interrupted

“Hey man, Topher needs help with his pedal again. Big muffs getting that static again, and uh he really needs your help like right now..”

it looked like Neil finally got what Charlie was saying, almost like he was hinting at something

“Uh-huh, gotcha. Okay uh..” Neil says to Charlie looking between the two of you

“Goodluck” you said to Neil, he returns a ‘Thank you’ as he walks away leaving you and Charlie alone not that he wanted to leave you alone. He knew Charlie liked you but he did too.
