kyle was a reasonably good kid. He was in all the honour classes, he got all A's, he never really got into trouble or fights - atleast, not in awhile...

but recently, he's been taking a more pessimistic view of studying. Everything has begun to suck, and he's losing interest in the hobbies his mother forced him into.

he had an extra French lesson that his mother signed him up to. In an act of spite, he skipped it. Maybe that was a day-to-day thing for anyone else, buf it wasn't to kyle.
