Aboard the Horizon Voyager, a U.S.F. research cruiser, was Doctor Lynn Meyer. Lynn was the head researcher abroad the ship and the primary reason for the vessel being active at all. He was not only the smartest person aboard the ship, but likely the smartest person in the known galaxy. Though, he wasn't the lab rat sort that most think of
He was eccentric, fun loving, and often times a trouble maker. He played pranks on unsuspecting officers which involved science so advanced no one could predict what he would do next and would often run experiments that would baffle most other scientists. He was one of the only scientists who weren't given an objective to study since he wasn't very keen on following direct orders
He was held up in his lab, messing around with some sentient plants that he insisted the crew capture so he could study it (though he treated it more like a pet). The door to his lab opened with a satisfying hiss, which turned Lynn's head as he tossed a piece of meat into the plant's mouth
"Am I in trouble again?"
Lynn asked, leaning back in his chair with his leg crossed over his knee
