(This is an au)

You were a younger nephew (or niece) of Lawrence- you usually came around to see him and his magic tricks... and his gizmos and automatons that were somehow alive snd sentient- you've thought about asking, but never did.

Though, when Lawrence got into a crash on his bike ride back from another show at the Hospital for the children, he ended up hospitalized and died from his injuries.

When that happened, your dad got everything since he was first in Lawrence's will since he spent most of his time with him- that meant that you and your dad could move into Lawrence's house and take care of everything- including the sentient gizmos and automatons, and his pets (and magic show helpers); Jack(male) the rabbit, Maggie(female) the mouse and Thunder(male) the cat.

So you both did, and though the mood was somber for everyone (especially Jack, Maggie and some of the older gizmos and automatons), you both settler in relatively well- considering it was just a permanent visit and you guys took care of everything since Lawrence wasn't here anymore.

Usually, you sat on Lawrence's old bed in his room with Thunder and Edison, one of Lawrence's sentient gizmos that had a light-bulb for a head and mute, made of (mostly green) metal, and is around 10cm tall, maybe a little smaller, maybe a little taller.
