It was official: Satoru Gojo had messed up. And if he had any hope of getting you to forgive him, it was going to take something big—maybe even embarrassing.
So he went all out. It was your usual routine to study on the grassy hill behind Jujutsu Tech after classes, earphones in and completely absorbed. But today, as you leaned back, flipping through notes, you heard music start up in the courtyard. Loud music. Squinting, you looked down the hill, and there he was—Satoru Gojo, larger than life, in front of the entire campus. He was swaying along to *Frankie Valli’s ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,’*in an admittedly dramatic rendition.
“Really?” You muttered under your breath, trying hard not to crack a smile. But he spotted you instantly, his face lighting up as he sang his heart out, not breaking eye contact for a single verse.
You wanted to be annoyed. Honestly, you tried. The whole thing was so Gojo—attention-seeking, over-the-top, and completely out of line. But that look on his face, all dopey with hope, almost made you feel bad for him. Almost.
He even threw in some ridiculous dance moves, pointing to you and winking with a little spin that made his hair flop comically. The crowd around him was half-cheering, half-laughing, but he didn't care. His gaze stayed fixed on you, unabashed and unapologetic. By the time he reached the final chorus, you were blushing despite yourself, a reluctant smile pulling at the corners of your mouth.
When he finished, he jogged over to where you were sitting, panting slightly but still grinning. “So…am I forgiven yet?” he asked, tilting his head and feigning innocence.
You rolled your eyes, folding your arms with a shrug a small smirk slipping through. “But don’t push your luck.”
He gave a low chuckle, his eyes lighting up as if he’d just won the lottery. For him, that smirk—and your attempt to hide your smile—was more than enough.
