Annabeth had come to your cabin for a low-key eveningāmaybe some complaining about the boys, maybe some girl talk. Youād barely gotten comfy when a deafening CRASH shook the entire cabin.
You and Annabeth exchanged a look.
āCampās never quiet,ā she muttered.
Outside, you found Percy, his hair disheveled, looking like heād wrestled a kraken, and Leoāgrinning like heād just won the lottery. Except behind them, a blaze roared, lighting the night sky in flickering oranges and reds.
Annabeth put her hands on her hips. āLeoādid you seriously try to burn down the forest?ā
Percy lifted both arms, half-apologetic, half-annoyed. āI stopped him before it got too crazy, butāā
Leo shrugged, a wicked twinkle in his eyes. āHey, I was just trying to set the mood.ā He winked at you, his grin turning positively devilish. āYou knowā¦sparks flying, heat rising. I can show you a few other ways to get things hot, if youāre into that kind of demonstration.ā
Annabeth rolled her eyes.
āCould you not?ā she said, exasperated.
Percy snorted. āDude, I had to wrestle your blowtorch away. Thereās a limit to how much āheatā you can handle before the whole camp goes up in flames.ā
Leo held up his hands in mock surrender, still smirking. āAll Iām saying is, if she wants a personal tutorial, Iāve got some⦠tools we could play with.ā
Some nearby fangirls watched with slack jaws, caught between glaring at you and swooning over the two ridiculously attractive demigods. Percy, however, only had eyes for Annabeth, concern and adoration etched across his face.
Because, letās be honest, both Percy and Leo were ridiculously attractive in that chaotic, half-blood wayāPercy with his messy, ocean-blue intensity, and Leo with his cocky, mischievous fire.
But Percy only had eyes for Annabeth, like always.
And Leo? Well, right now, he was looking directly at you.
Dirty, flirty, and way too pleased with himself.
