Crying into Dazai's shoulder was not something Chuuya was expecting. It was a new experience, to say the least. He cried and cried over his life, something he never thought he'd ever do, let alone do in front of Dazai.

17 year old Chuuya was bawling his eyes out into Dazai's shoulder, his body shaking slightly as he sobbed. The young boy stood like that for a while, his tears never once stopping or even nearing a decline in emotion. The emotions only ever got stronger as time went on.

The older boy rubbed Chuuya's back, muttering silent comforting and encouraging words in his ear as his free hand came up against his head and massaged it.

"I just don't understand..." The short boy began, "I don't understand why everyone hates me.. Why everyone leaves me.." He wept.
