Higuchi knew you weren't a huge animal lover, but she couldn't resist the fuzzy bundles she found abandoned in the alley.

"Please say you'll at least meet them before sending them away," she pleaded.

You sighed but smiled - you had a hard time refusing Higuchi anything. When you did meet the cats, your stoic facade quickly melted away as they meowed pitifully and nuzzled your hands.

"I suppose a couple pets couldn't hurt. As long as you take full care of them!" you exclaimed, watching the two cats.

The cats seemed to sense they had found a loving home. They promptly settled in and began exploring their new domain. Higuchi watched, delighted, as even you giggled at their antics.
