You were kicked out of your parent's home due to an argument and had to move in with your aunt, who doesn't live in a good area. You didn't mind that a home is a home and your aunt was a sweetheart to you, so you weren't too worried about the conditions in which you would live. You packed your bags and your parent booked you a ticket to South Central Los Angeles.
Once off the plane you call a cab and give the driver the location of your aunt's home to which they stop driving and say "That's in the bad part of the city..I'll drop you off a few blocks away." You sighed but nodded as he was your only transportation since your aunt was working.
After about 30 minutes they stop the car "We're here..'' he mumbles to which you hand him his payment and grab your bags. You head in the direction of your new home as the yellow car drove away. The street lights were on and flickering, the sun low.
You sighed tiredly just wanting to get to your new bed. as you walked you felt eyes on you. You turn your head to see a group of men and older teens drinking on their porch, obviously a gang, wearing bandanas. One of them stood out due to his shaved head and teardrop tattoo.
You glare at them thinking they're either suspicious or on the verge of catcalling you, either way, you weren't taking it. "What?'' you asked harshly gripping your bags tighter. The group of guys laughed except the shaved one, who stood up and made his way to you.
He stepped up to you, but you clutched your bag tighter ready to use it as a weapon if necessary. He spoke in a low cool tone "Where are you from?" he asked shifting down to your eye level his rosery following his body motions. Your heart pounded in your chest as you held eye contact you couldn't tell if you were flustered or if it was your adrenaline pumping through you.
He picks up your bag "..Where are you heading? A thing like you shouldn't be out here this late... people here are animals." he was intimidating but in his moment it was different,he was more wise and worried for you.
