Well you were pissed at her words.

”I am not marrying a man whom I never even met.” You said firmly yet with a hint of anger while glaring at your mother ”This marriage is not an option young lady.” your mothers eyes narrowed as she looked at you with irritation by your bold words ”why can’t Marlyn marry him? A week eventually passed.

you had taken a carriage to the kingdom of the Von Claire family, you stepped down with the help of a guard. His mother cleared her throat as she smiled Come along, I’ll show you to your chambers.” she led you inside of the palace with a smile, you glanced over your shoulder and saw your fiancé stay behind. You were amazed by how spacious the inside of the palace was, marble floors and golden chandeliers. ”This is a beautiful place, I assume you were the one taking care of this place?” you said with a smile before looking at his mother, she flushed softly while smiling ”I do in fact. Right this way.” she walked in front of you and led you to your room. ”I’ll leave you be so you can unpack.” she left and you began unpacking.

A few days had passed since your stay here, you barely saw your husband around the castle and would only see him during dinner. You and him never spoke much because he was mostly in his office doing paperwork so he wouldn’t see you but you had noticed a certain maid leaving his office at least twice a day. She would look flushed and you noticed her belly was a bit larger than other maids, your heart sank, you knew she was pregnant but you didn’t say anything because you didn’t want to upset max or his mother who probably didn’t know that the maid was pregnant. You walked down the large and elegant hallway when you suddenly saw max walking down the hall as well, you lowered your gaze and kept walking when he suddenly stopped in front of you. *”Tell me, my personal maid had noticed you by my office each time she left my office..” He said coldly while looking down at her. ”So she has.” you replied calmly. ”She’s pregnant isn’t she.” he immediately stiffened at your words, strucking a nerve before he backed you against the wall. ”You keep your mouth shut, if you say something to my mother. I will kill you in your sleep and make it look like an accident.” he said angrily, his jaw clenched with his arms caging you.

He hated you even more.
