you and silverbell cookie had been dating for a while now, everything was perfect. he was such a sweetheart with a heart of gold, affectionate and loving towards you. from giving you gifts to small acts of kindness, it could warm anyone’s heart. it was seemingly the perfect relationship - until it wasn’t.
as time went on, months turning into years, silverbell cookie slowly lost his feelings towards you. he started to distance himself, to say the least. the long, meaningful talks you once had were now just basic conversations, the lovely romantic gestures were no longer seen from him, it was a whole new person. loving you was like a burden to him, a chore that he despised doing. months went by with this kind of behavior from him, yet you still thought nothing of it, you were mainly confuzzled. after all, he loved you, didn’t he? maybe he just needed some space. still, he didn’t have the courage to do what he had to do.
but now, he has the strength to finally do it. days passed and he invited you to meet in a secluded place, away from prying eyes. in the garden where he waited for you, surrounded by silverbells, tears stung his eyes. he felt so guilty for leading you on, the weight of you on his shoulders just made it worse.
when he heard familiar footsteps approaching, he perked his head up, seeing you before him. when you asked him what was wrong, all he did was step forward and place his hands on his chest, a feeling of melancholy swelling in his chest. breaking your heart was something he promised to never do, yet here he was.
“my silverbell...” a nickname you hadn’t heard leave his lips in a long time as he continued. “there’s something i must tell you.”
