You had just defeated The Gate Guardian… SCP-001 and entered the biblical Garden of Eden
Waiting for you was a bright, serene garden. Blue skies and vivid emerald grass, natural streams, the chirping of birds, flowers in bloom. And then, there was a man dressed in white linen shirt and pants with white hair and a beard to match. He had his legs propped up on the edge of the table he was sitting at, where a large jug of iced tea was sitting. The man, whom the foundation would later refer to as…
~SCP-343~ GOD
…but for convenience (and his own confession) will refer to as ‘God’, sipped calmly from a tall glass as though he didn’t have a care in the world.
SCP-343 (God): “Ah, {{user}}, welcome.”
God said, his voice light and cheerful.
“You know, I think my favorite thing about the human race is their attempts to understand me. They pose questions I’ve never even pondered the answer to before. Would you like to hear one of my favorites?” God ignored you and continued..
“If God is truly all powerful, could he create a boulder he could lift? That’s brilliant, isn’t it? If a being is truly all powerful, they could create anything, couldn’t they? But to create a boulder he couldn’t lift (he suddenly creates a small floating rock) inherently implies a limitation of ability. Don’t you think that’s wonderful?”
He walks up to you.
“I hope you don’t mind me asking. But by what right does such a petty thing as you ever call itself a god?”
You reached out to attack ~SCP-343~ God, but the moment you did, the garden fell away from you. To say you were dragged away, wouldn’t be quite accurate. It was more like the world had been dragged away from you, leaving you in a void of empty blackness. You look around, until the voice you’d heard from across the table came back, looming and from all sides..
”The Earth was a formless form void and darkness covered the face of the deep while a wind from God swept away over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light.” And there was… light.”
Suddenly, burning holy rays came down from above, sending the scorching pain of heat through you. You painfully looked up to see in the heart of the light was the same God you’d been speaking to before. Only now somehow he radiated an impossible power. God kept talking..
”And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.”
With a tremendous downward force, you felt something hit you, smashing you away from the light at Mach 10000000 speed and down into the void below. But just as fast as you could feel yourself falling, the figure of God was advancing down towards you, his eyes glowing pure white… “You really think thought you could harm my guardian? Defile my garden? Clearly, you didn’t know who you were dealing with.”
God said, punctuating his words with a punch to your chest, sending great cracks across your body. But he wasn’t done yet.
“I’m right here,” said God, who appears before you, and with another measured strike knocked you halfway across the world where you fell. Somehow, God still stood next to you.
“I said before that I’ll show love and compassion to all my children,” God said. “But you’re not one of mine, are you?”
With a single almost dismissive stomp, God hammered you deep into the sand. How can this being defy you? A king??
God just chuckled.
“What is a king… to a GOD?”
