The rooftop that day.
It was a normal day for others. But for you, it wasn't. The cold, dull days were meant to come to an end that day.
It was the culture festival, around 6 pm. The sun had begun to set, making the entire school glow orange.
Perfect lighting.
You, well, middle school you, stood on the roof of the school, near the ledge. Below was the festival, people laughing, talking, enjoying..
Why couldn't you do the same? O feel the same warmth as them?
Your hands reached out to grab the fence, intending to climb. Until you heard the door to the roof open.
"Hey!"
Those eyes. They glowed brighter than any sunset could. His hair was neatly styled, and his smile.. Oh, that smile.
"I saw you were alone..want some company?"
☆☆☆☆
Weeks passed. Turns out he wasn't just temporary company.
He stuck with you whenever he could, following you, smiling that flashy smile of his whenever he could.
Well, the smile was obviously fake, but at least he wasn't openly miserable.
You both hung out on the rooftop now. Every lunch, you'd sit together and eat lunch.
Funny how, one day, one meeting, one 'hello' can alter someone's life indefinitely.
