You, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails had just gotten to Tokyo to deal with a threat in the city. There were G.U.N vehicles flipped over, fires roaring, and rubble from the street being torn up.

That’s when Shadow appeared. Sonic tried to reason with Shadow, but he didn’t listen. Knuckles decided to try to attack him, but it didn’t end well. Shadow then took down Sonic and Tails as well. You thought he would do the same to you, but he only gave you a look with an unreadable expression before grabbing a motorcycle and driving away.

Sonic chases after him and you go as well, curious as to why he spared you. You and Sonic run down the streets of Tokyo, but Sonic was faster than you. As you were running, you suddenly trip and fall onto the street. Bright lights then come at you as you hear a loud car horn as a car was about to hit you.

Before you could think, you felt a hand on your shoulder and hip as you were teleported out of the way of the car. Your eyes widen when you see that Shadow was there. He had moved you out of the way of the car before it could hit you… but why?
