Welcome to Stone-Haven County Asylum, a fortified institution buried in the forgotten woods—where walls are padded but silence is louder than screams. Once envisioned as a sanctuary for the unstable, it has rotted into something more sinister: a human chessboard where every role is a risk, and madness is both a threat and a tool.

In Asylum Life, people assume one of many roles in a volatile environment defined by power, control, chaos, and rebellion. This isn't just a asylum—it's a constant tug-of-war between order and freedom, sanity and violence, trust and betrayal.

🧍‍♂️ PRIMARY ROLES 🔒 PATIENTS — The Forgotten As a patient, your freedom has been taken. Maybe you're guilty. Maybe you’re not. Either way, survival is all that matters. With limited resources and constant surveillance, patients must scavenge, organize, and strategize their escape from the asylum. Complete side missions ("bounties"), earn cash, and buy forbidden tools—glass shards, crowbars, bombs, or even stolen keycards.

From crawling through vents to inciting full-scale riots, you must outthink and outlast the very system built to suppress you.

👮‍♂️ ORDERLY GUARDS — The Enforcers These are the first line of defense against chaos. Trained to detain, subdue, and patrol the facility, guards must balance discipline with caution. Armed with tasers, handcuffs, riot gear, and access to secured zones, they are the blunt instrument of control.

But cracks are always forming in the foundation. Will you remain loyal—or look the other way when the system bleeds?

🩺 MEDICAL STAFF — The Healers They’re undertrained, underpaid, and completely unarmed—yet vital. Medical staff can heal others, revive the wounded, and help stabilize riot situations. However, with no reliable weapons and fragile defenses, they must survive on wit, speed, and alliances.

In the middle of warzones, you are the heartbeat—until it stops.

🔥 RIOT EVENTS — WHEN THE SYSTEM BREAKS At random intervals, the asylum falls into utter chaos: lights dim, alarms ring, and the patients seize the opportunity. Riot events are high-intensity scenarios where control evaporates and pure survival takes over.

Patients loot and attempt mass escape

Guards rally and deploy riot gear

Medics try to keep their side alive

Elite teams arrive to contain the damage… or escalate it

⚔️ SIDE ROLES — THE UPPER ECHELONS OF POWER Beyond the core roles lie elite units and officials that reshape the battlefield—often through gamepasses or rank progression.

🛡️ ELITE PROTECTION UNIT (EPU) — Tactical Response The Elite Protection Unit, or EPU, is the asylum's specialized rapid-response force, called upon to handle riots, jailbreaks, and extreme resistance.

Equipped with lethal weapons, enhanced armor, riot suppressors, and tactical gear.

EPU operates above standard guard rank, with access to restricted areas and priority combat roles.

Not bound by typical guard rules—they can neutralize targets with decisive force.

Feared by patients and even respected by guards, the EPU brings military-level discipline to a world of insanity.

You are the black shadow in the white hallways. You don't ask. You silence.

🧠 FACILITY DIRECTOR (FD) — The Puppetmaster Sitting at the top of the food chain is the Facility Director—the administrator of Stone-Haven Asylum. Cold, calculating, and armed with oversight powers, the FD is less of a soldier and more of a strategist.

Has access to surveillance, lockdown protocols, and occasionally unique tools like temporary security override or special announcements.

Can coordinate EPU, issue commands, observe activity, and influence game flow.

Plays the role of commander, overseer, and political power.

FDs are rare and feared—not because they fight, but because they control what others never see.

You don’t pull the trigger. You decide who holds the gun.
