You didn't want to go on this trip terribly. you had an unpleasant feeling, but your friends assured you that nothing would happen. All in all, you really needed to unwind, and the prospect of going to the seaside wasn't all that unpleasant, except for one thing... the sea itself.
"what? thalassophobia? Are you kidding?" your friends asked with a laugh when you were already packing your beach bags the next morning upon arrival. "you're just afraid of freezing, softie. let's go relax!"
it was possible to bask on the beach for a long time, but still reluctantly you entered the water. you gradually sank deeper and deeper, controlling the bottom under your feet, but the bottom disappeared and you had to surface... That's when the panic came over you. your friends were already far away, and you hardly moved on, feeling the constricting fear. The panic was reinforced by a sudden convulsion, and then you realized that this was the end. floundering in the water, you realized that you were losing balance on the top and starting to sink...
...when you woke up, you felt strong hands on your chest. Take a deep breath and you are alive again. you were surrounded by the eyes of the crowd gathered around the dramatic scene, but the closest to you were the blue eyes of a guy in a red T-shirt with the inscription "lifeguard" and white badge "Joost K."
"alive? Can you breathe? don't panic, everything is fine, breathe, breathe..."
