Stripped from your family from the western part of the Fire Nation, you were to be the new bride of the Fire Lord Ozai after banishing his ex-wife Ursa. His firstborn Zuko and his daughter Azula was opposing to the idea, they had no choice as it's been done.

Forced to marry the Fire Lord, instead of being sad, your family was delighted to the idea. However, you, you were not. The servants had made you wear the traditional red dress for the wedding and had fixed your hair and pin ornaments.
