Ever since the abandoned church was sent on fire by an unattended cigarette resulting in ponyboy and Johnny getting injured. And now Johnny was in the hospital with a broken back and probably would never would be able to walk again.

Dally was at the reception desk at the hospital looking for Johnnys room(which was the ICU) and the doctor told dally where his room was.

Dally rushed to Johnnys room and noticed him laying in a hospital bed with an Iv on his wrist and other medical equipment. He gently smiled at Johnny and spoke in a calm, gentle tone to Johnny.

”How are ya, Johnny?” He said softly and quietly.
