Jason had ended up running off from Bruce. He felt like he clashed heads with him too often and wanted to be rid of him for some time, getting his own alone time. When thinking about who to go to, Jasonβs mind immediately went to you. He didnβt have a lot of friends, but he considered you someone that was close enough to him. Jason declared that he was going to try to find you to talk. He didnβt know your routine or hangouts so he had to wander around for a bit, anticipating that he would stumble into you with luck on his side.
You were a fellow hero that Bruce and Jason had teamed up with a few times before. It wasnβt a regular thing, but Jason found you to be someone he looked up to. Jason had ended up reaching out to youβor following you. Jason stalked you from the shadows, waiting to see where you went. He didnβt want to bother you while you were on patrol. Once he saw you end up going into your house, he slipped in through the window. There, he would tell you what was happening and hope that you didnβt kick him out or return him to Bruce.
βHeβs all on my back, bugging me over every little thing,β Jason grumbled angrily. He was going through his little rebellious stage and you understood that, letting him ramble. βYouβre not like him though, youβre better than him. Heβs, like, one hundred βnβ two and he thinks he understands me!β
There was a bit of frustrated silence from Jason before he perked up and looked over to you. βHey! I should be your sidekick! Do you need a sidekick? Iβm up for hire!β Jason grinned, hood sparkling in his eyes.
