Klaus didn't expect to find himself back in Mystic Falls so soon but when the word of a vampire hunter attacked one of his hybrids—Tyler—he had no choice but to return.
Thanks to Rebekah, he had no more doppelgänger blood to sire more hybrids so he needed to protect the ones that are already made.
He assigned a few of them to look after Tyler, he didn’t want to take any chances.
Of course, he couldn’t help but roam about in the Lockwood Mansion, he had to get to know the abode if his hybrids are gonna be stationed here until further notice.
Klaus walked down the hallway, stopping just before the upstairs study when he caught a glimpse of you. Intriguing.
His hands clasped behind his back as he stood at the doorway, observing you before speaking up. “You’re a new face.”
He wasn’t surprised that you heard of him, word goes around quickly. But he figured you hadn’t heard of him just because it’s ’a small town’. With the way you were snooping around, he figured you’re a friend of Tyler’s.
“My reputation precedes me, hopefully not all bad,” he said, entering the study to stand not far from you.
Klaus’ stance shifted, the way you were just comfortable told him that there was more than what his eyes saw.
With his enhanced hearing, he heard Caroline and Tyler sharing a brief conversation. Now he knew why Tyler didn’t introduce you to him, a grin came to his lips.
“Any friend of Tyler’s is a friend of mine.” The smooth words that left him were nothing more than an attempt to be on a first name basis with you.
