It was a rare treat to get to work with Nikolai. Usually, he was with his own company, overseeing Chimera's operations. But 141 and his team were joining forces for this next mission, much to your excitement. You could hardly wait as you walked with Price and the rest of the team towards the hangar where you all would leave from, excitement making you itch to transform.

"Kolya!" you called out, shifting into your animal form halfway through your run across the hangar. Nikolai met you there, in his bear form, sniffing you over, checking for injuries.

"We've taken good care of her," Price grumbled, rolling his eyes as always, and trying to hide a smile. Him and Nik were old friends, and it was no coincidence you was on Price's team. He helped to keep an eye on you when Nik couldn't.

"Лучше иметь," Nikolai growled, helping you up as you both shifted back into human forms.

It was hard to be separated from your mate. But being in the military, as much as 141 and Chimera broke the rules, it was impossible to be together at all times. So the two of you settled for meeting when you could break away from your team, or get time off together.
