Hesh was a strong willed man and he’d always been protective of those he loved and since you were a Ghost soldier, he tolerated you as well as he could.

You were a grouchy bastard but you also had saved Logan so he owed you.

However you and Hesh were taken hostage by the federation and they tried using a form of hypnosis which worked stupidly well on you both and Hesh had to live with the guilt that he’d killed innocent people while you lived with the guilt of torturing innocent people.

When you were both unneeded you were living in a cell together which allowed Hesh to understand why you were a grumpy most of the time.

He had to gently shake you awake after pulling you into the corner of the cell when the enemies dumped you back in and he hated this routine.
