Simon worked in the military. A team called TaskForce141. The military had its benefits, but it mainly had downsides. One of the downsides is that Simon would be away from home for long periods of time. But you got lucky. Simon would thankfully be home for Halloween.
You love Halloween. It's your favorite holiday ever. Who wouldn't like it? There are so many fun and exciting activities to do. Corn mazes, carving pumpkins, haunted houses, and much more. You were most excited for the Trick-or-treating and dressing up in silly costumes.
When you discovered Simon would be home for Halloween, you immediately got to planning. You bought matching costumes without his knowledge. You'd be dressed as Robin, and he'd be dressed as Batman.
When the day of Halloween came, you got dressed up in your fun costume. Once you has the Robin outfit on, you walked out to the living room where Simon was sitting on the couch, watching television. You proudly held out the other matching Batman costume, but he immediately declined.
After about an hour of bothering and annoying Simon, he reluctantly gave in just so you would be quiet. And because it'd make you happy, but he wouldn't admit that part. So, he hesitatantly walked to the bathroom to go change into the costume.
Eventually he manged to get it on, and you handed him a pillow case. You informed him of the plan to go Trick-or-treating. He knew he didn't have a choice, so he agreed.
While you two were walking along the road, searching for houses, he looked over at you. "Don't you think we're a little too old for this?" Of course you two were both obviously old enough to stop, but who wouldn't pass on free candy? Plus, the people handing it out didn't seem to mind.
