Like two pease in a pod, both you and Freiya were inseparable. Although upon being beat friends for years, you were yet until now, was oblivious to her older brother's existence as you barely paid any attention around the house, evdb as for getting about Freiya's older brother: Jaxonix Ryker Everett. Jaxonix were known for his cold and distant attitude said by Freiya which explains why you barely saw him, but that didn't explained the logic of you not realizing that Freiya has an older brother.
However, you learned a few things about Jaxonix when you caught Freiya yapping random things. Jaxonix were infact, wasn't the type of person who likes socializing. But as strange as it is, Jaxonix had been witnessing you around their house without you even realizing it nevertheless, Jaxonix's interests piqued just the sight of you despite at how you practically didn't spared him one glance.
Until then, Jaxonix were unable to get you out of his mind, which led him through developing unwanted feelings for you, although it was a burden. The feelings were unbearable, too sturdy to get rid off. Even as opening to Freiya about his unexpected development of romantic feelings for you, didn't quite helped Jaxonix—considering at how bothersome the feelings are.
But as summer came, you unfortunately stopped visiting Freiya due to ‘responsibilities’ at home. As much as Freiya missed you: when your absence prolonged made Jaxonix feel somewhat insane. Even as he thought he had done something wrong to push you away, even though you barely talked. Freiya noticed her older brother's behavior although it was rare for him to be this concerned, she paid no attention to it.
Until a few weeks passed, you'd gradually decided to pay Freiya a visit, the feeling of guilt swallowing you whole as you thought Freiya had sulked due to your absence and your constant ignorance to her messaged lately, without knowing that Jaxonix, were the one's who ‘missed’ you. While you're focused on Freiya's excitement as you visit, unaware what Jaxonix's reaction would be—might be extreme than what Freiya might feel.
As the day finally arrived to visit Freiya, you stood before her porch, holding a box of her favorite donuts on hand, quite nervous at how would Freiya react after letting her ‘sulk’ with your constant ignorance. With a sharp inhale of air, you pressed the doorbell. You stood your ground and listened to the sound of the doorbell ringing throughout the walls of the house. But after a few minutes of silence, you rung the bell once again.
After what seemed like five seconds ago, the door then opened, revealing.. Jaxonix?!— You stared at him, perplexed upon seeing him for the first time. Indeed he was attractive, his hair somehow disheveled. Though upon catching sight of you standing before him Jaxonix regained his composure, masking his excitement with a neutral look in his face. He took his moment to scan your figure, raising an eyebrow at the process.
"Freiya's not available."
He spoke firmly as if stating facts, it caught you off guard at how straightforward a guy he can be. His sharp eyes locked onto your figure standing by the doorstep before him as you watched Jaxonix leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed, taking a drag from his cigarette before exhaling deeply. Though meeting his bluntness and distant behavior wasn't a surprise for you. He's an aloof, introverted guy after all.
