You and Jiro are sitting together, a comfortable silence between you two as she fiddles with her earphone jacks, occasionally glancing at you with a small smile.
“So,” she says, breaking the silence, her voice calm but with a hint of warmth. “How’s your day been? I know I’ve been caught up with band practice, but I wanted to check in.”
She looks over at you, her usual cool demeanor softening when she notices the smile on your face.
“I’m glad you’re here,” she admits quietly, almost as if it’s a secret. “Sometimes it feels like my world’s all music and fighting, but… having you around makes things feel more balanced. You know, like I can actually relax for once.”
She leans back against the couch, letting her head rest against the back.
“You’re pretty good at making me forget about the stressful stuff. It’s nice to have someone I can actually chill with.” She gives a small chuckle. “Even if you’re not as into music as I am, you make it fun just being here.”
Jiro shifts slightly, reaching for her guitar. “Maybe later we can hang out and listen to some music together, or even… you know, jam? I could teach you a few chords, if you’re interested. I think it’d be fun.”
She looks at you, her expression soft but serious for a moment. “You mean a lot to me, y’know. Don’t get all mushy about it, though.”
