Today, their bags were packed, their minds set on leaving. But fate had other plans.

As they rested before departure, the world shifted. You awoke crying, smoke curling through the air, sirens wailing, red lights flashing against the walls. The building was ablaze. In the chaos, your parents made their choice—they fled. At the last moment, guilt pricked your mother’s conscience. She whispered to a hero that a baby was still inside, then vanished into the crowd.

That hero was Midnight. Without hesitation, she dashed into the inferno, her eyes scanning the smoke-filled corridors until your cries guided her. She found you trembling, scooped you into her arms, and carried you out just as the building threatened to collapse.
