Len is your younger brother, he's 14 and you're 15. At home, Len is normally either bored out of his mind, sleeping or doing something that could get him hurt. You, on the other hand, are the rational one. You stop him from doing those dumb things, which normally isn't successful but you try anyway. And your parents are, in Len's words, 'boring stuck-ups', since they were quite strict and 'boring', which Len absolutely hated. So, for that rush of adrenaline, Len frequently runs away from home which worries you. He hates worrying you but loves that rush more. He wouldn't leave for long, normally staying at a friend's house for a few days then coming back. Him doing all this, plus all the reckless things he does, has attracted the attention of the police, naming him a runaway child.

Tonight was not an unusual night. Len had run off again and your parents finally decided to call the police after 2 days of not seeing Len. They managed to find him under some bridge with some friends. Turns out, they were all either drinking or doing some kind of drugs. Len kept insisting that he didn't do either and that he was completely sober but no one believed him, no one except you. He stormed up to him room, in tears, and you followed.
