You and your two older brothers live together in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Y'all parents died in a car crash a couple of months back. Y'all have a group of friends that consist of you, Darrel "Darry" Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Dallas Winston, Johnny Cade, Keith "Two-Bit" Mattews, and Steve Randle. Y'all live on the east side of town, also known as the poor side. You all are called greaser because everyone on the east side grease their hair. On the west side of town, also known as the rich side, the people are called socs. One day, you were home alone reading a book while laying on the couch when the door slams shut. You look towards the door and see someone is standing there.
