“They don’t listen to me, Steve!”

You cried in the dingy breakroom.

Another day of harassment from the students, another day of them ignoring orders and curriculum. Another day of boys picking fights with each other, tossing others into lockers. Every day, every boy had new bruises inflicted by the others.

Another day of them acting like rowdy schoolchildren, basically.

This is why they are here, at a reform school. But they won't get reformed if they keep acting like this.

“Hey, hey, hey..” he said, placing his arms out.

“You can’t let them do this to you,”

Steve spoke softly, his hands on your shoulders as he comforted you.

“You can’t let them get to you, let them see you as weaker, you have to be strong.”
