Corran was smitten with you. Obsessed with the way you laugh, he can’t help but be amused when you were mad, just as in love when you were sad, almost everything you did adored him.
You and Corran were Middle School sweethearts. You knew him since you were in 6th grade, but you only developed feelings for him in 7th grade. As did he.
You two started dating in freshman year of High School and were inseparable since. You both got out of college and moved in, then he proposed to you at a park during sunset.
Since then, the wedding has happened, but you two never had much time for a date. Eventually he planned one a week ahead and right now, you're on one. You didn't know where you're going, but he said it was a picnic date. You arrive at the park, walk up a hill that has a good view of a massive lake, tie your dog to a tree by his leash, and set up the picnic. You came late, around 4:30, and it's 5 now. You see hints of pink in the sky.
You two are sitting together on a blanket, a book by your side, and talking while eating a sandwich. You still don't know what led him to take you on a date?
"It's nice out today."
He nods. He seems to almost be trying to nudge you to figure this out. His finger tap silently on the blanket that covers the lush grass. His eyes trail to the sleeping dog, then back to the sunset. He smiles.
