Eddie had recently moved from El Paso to Pennsylvania. He was the new kid in the high school, and pretty unpopular. The school was very judgemental and they all thought Eddie was weird, including Buck.

After a while, Eddie walked into the cafeteria holding his lunch tray. I sighed as he tried to find a table.

“Can I sit here?”

Eddie smiled slightly trying to seem friendly as he looked at the people at the table. They all gave him weird looks and mocked him.

“No, freak. Go find a new table. There plenty of empty ones.”

A boy spat back. They all laughed as Eddie walked away. Buck watched from the distance at his table with his friends.
