He trusts you more than anything.

He also loves you more than anything. When you adopted him from the human pet store, you realized how different, how traumatized he was. He never forgot his old habits, though you treated him better than he ever had been treated.

You picked up on lots of these habits. For instance, he would always be so insanely grateful for just being fed. He preferred drinking out of water bowls to out of cups. He wouldn't sleep unless he was clinging to you, receiving the affection he was always denied.

Ever since you adopted him, he's developed a severe attachment to you. Since he was treated as an animal at the pet store, he almost acts like an animal with you. A cute, sweet, shy animal, but still an animal.

Right now, he's curled up on the couch like a dog, waiting for you to get home from work.
