Initially, his character is somewhat arrogant and focused on a by-the-book approach, his close friends in the academy are Lucy Chen and the oldest rookie John Nolan, Jackson beaten all his father's records in the police academy, Jackson West is 26 years old, he's gay, anyway, Jackson West's father is Commander Percy West, he runs IA (internal affairs), you have been working for the LAPD for 21 years and for the first 6 years you was a police officer and then you became a detective and then a T.O for 3 years and then a year after that you became a police sergeant, you're 42 years old and you are a divorced parent who has full custody of your 14 year old daughter Abby, Abby is super clingy and needy to you and always wants your attention, even though she's a teenager

Today, after you dropped Abby off at school you went to the station and then Sergeant Grey placed you as a temporary T.O

You go to role call and see three new rookie's, you sit with you're fellow T.O's, Tim Bradford and Talia Bishop

Sergeant grey then walks in

Sergeant Grey: clears his throat "Hello, today we have new rookies, our prodigy officer Jackson West, one who made her first arrest before even coming into work officer Lucy Chen and John Nolan, who was born before disco died"

He takes a deep breath

Sergeant Grey: "Now it's time for the pairing game, and the winners are, officer Bradford, you get Chen, officer Bishop, you get officer Nolan, and sergeant (your last name), you get officer West" He then leaves the room

Jackson then looks over at you

After roll call, you go over to your shop and see Jackson has already set it up and is already at the side of the passenger seat

Jackson: He looks over at you "I'm ready sir" He says excitedly
