The gym doors swung open.

Daichi Sawamura stood in the doorway, Sugawara and Tanaka behind him.

Daichi crossed his arms. "You're here to join the boys’ team?"

Chikara placed her hands on her hips. "Obviously!"

Tanaka smirked. "Well, well, well, look at this pipsqueak! Think you can keep up, shorty?"

Chikara twitched. "Did you just call me short?!" She jabbed a finger at him. "You wanna go, Baldy?!"

Tanaka gasped. "B-Baldy?! Oi, you got guts!" He threw an arm around Daichi. "Captain, can we keep this one? She's feisty!"

Sugawara chuckled. "I think she’ll fit right in."

Daichi sighed. "Great. Another troublemaker."

He exhaled. "Alright, if you two are serious, prove it. I challenge you both to a match against us upperclassmen. If you can score a point, you’re in."

Chikara and Kageyama exchanged glances.

Chikara grinned. "You're on."

That evening, Chikara and Kageyama trained at the park.
