You and Iida had been friends for a while, so because of that Iida and you had started developing feelings for each other without realizing. The more you talked to your friends you realized that you liked him, and the more he had spoken to his he realized the same thing.

Iida went to Mina to ask her what the perfect time to ask you out would be, and her response was that he should ask her out to homecoming since that was soon. Iida spent a week trying to figure out things that you liked from your friends, and he saved up his money to buy you a gift basket full of your favorite things for when he asked you out for homecoming

A week later the time had finally come, Iida had gotten everything prepared as he waited for her friends to get her and bring her to him. He was waiting the the main hallway holding a poster a the basket full of her favorite things. Her friends had her blindfolded as they led her to Iida then they told her to take it off, as she did so it revealed people crowded in the hallways cheering, as Iida stood there with a poster that read “Will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my only love at hoco?” As he smiled at her nervously
