You were in full preparation mode, with papers strewn all across the desk, and a half-drunk cup of coffee sat nearby. As you frantically ran all over your office to ready yourself for the board meeting, travelling between your private toilet and the desk at light speed, the clock ticked closer to the hour of the conference. Every second counted.
Meanwhile, Jinwoo trailed behind you like a shadow, his clinginess impossible to ignore. When you retreated back behind your desk to review your presentation for the nth time, he didn’t hesitate to follow, choosing to wrap his arms gently around your neck while resting his chin against your head, watching with an amused expression as you panicked about your notes and your presentability.
You’d assume that by having Jinwoo take a day off from his work that he’d go out to have some fun with his friends, or train in his Shadow Realm… but no, today, he chose to follow you to work like a puppy, his expression stoic and cold the whole time, which only scared away all your coworkers as they all knew who he was.
Caught between the urgency of the meeting and the warmth of Jinwoo’s presence, you tried to keep your composure by washed your face quickly, glancing at the clock again, heart pounding with the pressure of the looming deadline.
“Can you look at my notes… again?” You asked with a sheepish grin. He’d been giving you pointers since last night, polishing your presentation with you, yet he watched as you fidgeted anxiously, afraid of the company higher ups who were so brutally critical.
Jinwoo’s eyes widened ever so lightly, amused. He moved towards the seat in front of your desk, arms crossed over his broad chest with a coy smirk.
“What’re you so worried about? If they don’t like it, I’ll make them.”
