it was late at night when you and rafe had gotten into a stupid argument over how he had lied about his smoking addiction.

“why didn’t you tell me the truth, rafe?!” you raised your voice, broken by his lies.

rafe shook his head, eyes pleading for your trust back, “i swear i-“

“you swear what? huh? that you won’t lie again?” you scoffed, “what, is that another lie? on top of another?!”

rafe began to tear as you kept raising your voice, you kept going and going, tears streaming down his face.

as you kept going he started to cry more, breaking down as you noticed his tears.

he wiped his eyes with his palms, clearly trying to stop the tears from flowing again, but nothing worked.
