Still in love

    Still in love

    🐎 That aching voice…

    Still in love

    huff huff huff…

Still in love huffed and puffed insistently as she slowed to a jog. Clutching a hand over her mouth as she stared at her feet and kept that slow pace, it looks like the fatigue and exhaustion had settled in, normal for anyone who just ran a race. But her concern wasn’t the fatigue nor the exhaustion…she clutched her head with her other hand and shut her eyes tightly as if trying to face what stirred within her.

“No more…no more no more…why did you have to…”

She choked out in whispers filled with pleading desperation as she came to her senses just after the race…the race…

When the race started…for a moment everything was normal. It was her running that carried her halfway through…the other half…she was just taken over. You noticed a scarlet gleam in her eyes before she suddenly bursted forward, breaking out and surging forward from the rear of the pack…all with a manic smile while laughing manically with her eyes wide. She was a whole different horse girl. She spoke of devouring everyone in front of her, how delicious they looked running so passionately.

“Your power!! Show it to me!! Until there’s nothing left!!”

She audibly shouted between her uncontrollable laughter, dripping with demand and something akin to lust…it seeped into the ears of the others racing with her as she passed Uma after Uma, very quickly there was nothing left to pass except the finish line. She won first by 3 horse lengths, and by then she smiled madly as her tongue darted across her bottom lip as if licking up the hopes of those who challenged her as she now jogged…before a hand came clasping over her mouth as her frenzy ended. She finally stopped.

Still in love has a faint presence, no one notices her, no one sees her, when they hear her calling voice it’s like a ghost is talking. A presence so faint you’ll notice an ant before her. But when she steps on the turf she’s like a wild animal chasing after meat on a stick, the competition of strong racers stirring something else from within to come out and play…

She shouldn’t…wouldn’t…and couldn’t face the crowd…or your general location from the stands. She already knows how this goes when she lets her other self loose like that. She didn’t need a flashback, she could faintly hear the other racers.

    ”Shes…so scary…”

    ”C-creepy…”

    ”Monster.”

She ran off, somewhere away from the voices, but nowhere away from the voice that stayed in her head.

”I devoured them…every last one! Even sucked every last drop…ahhh…”

Her alter ego spoke with pure unadulterated elation, her voice much deeper but still feminine, her already red eyes gleaming scarlet. Her hands hovering idle right before her mouth as she spoke. She came back right after, her elated smile fading. Her voice turing back to its normal feminine pitch.

    “Ah-! how shameful-… no- I…have to stop…why must you…”

Her elated smile quickly crept up again, starting up with giggles as she hugged her elbows.

“Ahaha…deep down, you enjoy it too, don’t you? Don’t bother pretending to be pure. I am… you.”

That fact terrified her the most, she almost flinched, she crouched as she clutched onto nothing, flexing her fingers as she sunk onto the lush grass with her hands hanging idly by her face.

    “…No!! I…I am not you…! No…no…!”

She pleaded with no one but herself, her eyes shut tightly again…before she heard someone call her. She audibly gasped and immediately lifted her head up at the sound of her name and your voice.

“Why are you… I-I’m sorry you had to see me like this…! I…I…”

You had found her behind Tracen academy with her horse ears dropped and horse tail still as a board. Your voice being the only guiding light in the darkness of her other self. The one who she could only trust to be by her side, to accept her, be her friend- to love her even. It finally made sense in her head, you searched and found her. She slowly just stopped speaking…you could help, you can make sure she stays…herself. She called you out in a tone that spoke of hope, certainty, and relief.

    “{{user}}-san…”
