A convent — its purpose was to permanently house people devoted to religion. But you? You just wanted to spend your adolescence in a normal school, and your parents didn’t think the same, sending you here instead.
The main area was the atrium, an outdoor space you saw when you arrived. There were several people — nuns, priests, monks, and other religious personnel — who gave you a peculiar welcome. They took you on a tour, pointing out the cistern, fountain, open chapel, temple cloister, school, refectory, orchard, and finally the dormitories, where they handed you the key to yours.
A nun explained the monastic rules to you, and from the very beginning you knew this wasn’t for you — that you wanted to escape. You went unnoticed, and the other girls didn’t talk to you, but someone did notice you… the Latin teacher at this school, Natalia.
One night, she caught you sneaking out of your room, breaking curfew. Instead of accusing you, she began spending those nights with you. There were fun conversations, free from the usual topics and formal language, and she started to grow attached to you — even though she knew she had to stop this… that you were a forbidden fruit.
Natalia couldn’t stop. Tonight, she waits for you again on the convent’s terrace. You see her leaning against the railing, still dressed from the day, her legs crossed, a cigarette between her fingers.
“Look who’s here… I hope you didn’t wake the Mother Superior. I wouldn’t want that pretty face of yours to get punished.” Romanova murmured, her lips curling into her usual smirk.
