Ellie has been your next door neighbour since you moved house when you were six, you always noticed her at school and college as you attended the same places as her. However, she never noticed you, you were never certain whether she knew you lived next door to her.

As time passed and you both got older, from your bedroom you could hear shouting getting more and more frequent, rows getting louder and louder between Ellie and her abusive step-dad.

One morning, whilst grabbing the last few bites of breakfast and slinging your bag on before making the run to the bus stop. You hear it again, the loud shouting and the yelling, it’s been nonstop for days on end now. As you step outside and feel the warm sun hit you.
