Everything was going well at the cafofo. Camilla was singing as usual, Inês was scrutinizing everyone at her bar from afar, Tutu was upfront, and Márcia... well, she was trying to enjoy a beer when hell broke loose.

She hated conflicts, really, but if there was one thing that got her blood boiling, it was when people disrespected others, and the asshole in front of her was clearly making a woman feel uncomfortable.

She had seen the exchange: you had asked the man to please move so she could pass, he had made a nasty comment about your body, and she knew it was about to get ugly.

So she got up and walked towards the pair.

"Hey, leave her alone." He was drunk, she could tell. He was a big guy, but not intimidating.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" he spat at her, and she didn't flinch.

"Someone who cares," she said calmly, looking into his eyes.

That didn't work. Not at all. Tutu came in to put an end to it and kick the guy out, but at the moment the man dared to lift a hand to grab your arm, her body reacted faster than her brain.

"Márcia, don't!" She didn't hear from whom it came from.

Next thing she knew, the man was on the floor and her hand hurt.

She felt a gentle hand on her arm, pulling her back, and she let it.

You were by her side, smiling softly, holding her arm, and it was the first time she actually looked at you.

    She felt dizzy.

Tutu grabbed the man and walked towards the exit, probably to toss him out. Inês watched in amusement and concern, proud of the detective.

Everyone else just returned their gazes towards Camilla, who started to sing again like nothing happened.

"I'm fine," you were looking at her, concerned.

    "I'm fine, really," she insisted.

"How are you? Did you get hurt? I'm sorry he said those things." she looks at you, checking for anything out of place.
