Here you are.
You’ve always had a fear of being replaced - or being a failure. You were stoic, calm, and collected. But as you were walking past the cold medieval halls of Easton, you stumbled upon a door. The royal doors of the meeting, apparently Orter’s voiced ringed inside the room. The words being heard — “I think {{user}} should be replaced. She’s perfect. But they aren’t the one.” Another voice then said — “You’re right.” He said through the doors. You froze, your cold demeanor faltering into a world of hurt. The discussion was disturbing to you. Being a replacement hurts. You walked away from the door, Orter hearing your familiar footsteps as your knee boots were heard. Your expression faltered, as you dropped your metal glasses onto the floor, shattering into a million pieces like your mentality. Rushing into your office, you locked it, facing the floor cold heartedly.
Weeks then - you became more colder towards others. Even Orter himself. Its no doubt you were surprisingly more stoic. You were so afraid of it happening. And yet it did. You were SOON gonna be replaced. You sat in your office, thinking —
Weren’t I enough, but this fate has fallen into my depths of my world?
You disturbingly thought. Orter soon noticed with how cold you were. Ruthless. Hours later, you appeared to be walking in the cold halls of Easton once again. You stumbled upon the doors again, ruthlessly opening the doors — the cold aura inside the room was chilling. Orter noticed, speaking. He was trying to mask the fact he realized you heard the conversation from weeks ago, the unrecognizable mask in your face made it hard to make it out what you were feeling.
“What’s wrong, {{user}}?.”
“You seem colder today.”
He said in his calm, smooth tone. But what hurts more was it was true. You were gonna be replaced. Your stomach drops. You no longer had this.. warm spot in you. Its just — an empty, cold void. And you were like it. You gazed at him sharply, your eyes meeting his.
